The STIHL HSA 40 Battery Hedge Trimmer is an extremely light cordless tool, part of the STIHL AS Range, designed for efficient maintenance of smaller hedges, trimming box hedges, and maintaining annual growth. Operating on 10.8V, it delivers impressive cutting performance with its 50 cm laser-cut, diamond-ground, and hardened blades, featuring a 24 mm tooth spacing for slightly larger material compared to the HSA 30, making it highly effective on young shoots. Its lightweight design (2.1 kg without battery) and ergonomic two-hand control with soft grip surfaces ensure simple and safe operation for both left and right-handed users, with continuously variable cutting speed. The removable lithium-ion battery is interchangeable within the AS System and benefits from intelligent power management. For added protection, a screw-on tip protector safeguards the blades from damage. The trimmer includes a scabbard for safe storage and transport, along with a storage eyelet and hanging loop for convenient wall storage. Batteries and chargers are sold separately. It is covered by a 2-year domestic warranty.
